FASTEST 6000 RUNS IN TEST CRICKET
During the India-England Test Series in
Southampton Test Virat Kohli completed his 6000 runs in his 70th Test. He
became 10th Indian Batsman and overall 66th Batsman who made 6000 runs in Test
Cricket. Virat completed his 6000 runs in 119th inning of his 70th Test which
is the second fastest 6000 runs for India.
Sir Don Bradman holds the record of
fastest 6000 runs in Test Cricket, he made 6000 runs in 68th inning of 45 Test.
For India, the great opener of Test Cricket Sunil Gavaskar made 6000 runs in
117 inning of 65 Test.
Virat also made 1000 runs in a calendar
year two times, in 2016 he made 1215 runs in 18 inning of 12 Test with 75.93
average which includes four century and two half century. Second time, in 2017
he made 1059 runs in 16 inning of 10 Test with 75.64 average which includes five
